Vacuum carburized layer is formed faster than ordinary gas, liquid and solid carburized layer because of its high temperature, especially its clean surface and high activity. If the carburized layer needs 1 millimeters, it will take 927 hours and 1 hours at 1033 degrees Celsius, only 5 hours.
